History of SSI

System Service International (SSI) was formed in the mid-90's when the electronic recycling industry was undergoing a critical transformation stage. As more corporations began to take serious approaches toward the disposal of their electronic scrap materials, they also demanded service vendors who could meet their stringent requirements.

From the first day of its inception, the two partners of SSI (one with a Ph.D. Degree in Material Sciences from the University of Illinois, one with an MBA Degree from Northwestern University) had set a clear mission for the company, that is to set a new standard in providing a Single Source Supply Chain/Reverse Logistic Solution for business clients.

The clear founding vision has laid a solid foundation and infrastructure for the growth of the company. The breadth of its services, the depth of its analysis reports, the best-in-industry financial returns and the capability of its technical know-how had attracted many corporate clients that were in search of a competent service provider to whom they can rely upon to manage the complexity of their company's physical assets.

Today, SSI has become an extension of our clients' Supply Chain System by providing the following revenue-maximizing solutions:

  • National or Regional Return Management
  • Repair and Refurbishment
  • Parts Retrieval and Replacement
  • Repackaging
  • Light Assembly
  • Redeployment of assets
  • Re-Marketing Management
  • Recycling and Remanufacturing
  • National Transportation Management

SSI's current clients include many of the Fortune 1,000 corporations from a wide range of industries encompassing telecommunication, computer systems, consumer electronics, automotives, office automation, pharmaceutical and financial services.
